Watch out for the idiot scratch. It kind of is easy to do and makes a nice pistol look less nice.

CZ75 Shadow 2 is a good next gun. I love mine. Truth is 1911 is a platform that can be troublesome. I have been there and done that. The Colts often needed a little TLC from a gun smith to get them tuned up. Don't even get me started on tupperware Glocks.

I went down the list: three different Beretta 92s, didn't like anyone of them, maybe the Italian surplus was the best of that lot, The Sig Sauer 210 never worked right from day one, the Sig 226 just didn't do it for me, BHP (I thought) didn't fit my hand (first gun). And so on. The CZ is a keeper.

With the litany of pistols you had trouble with, I'm wondering if it might be the operator rather than the gun. LOL CZs are nice.
