RPD Update.

I fell like moth to flame every time I see a new post in this thread.

If RPD customers show up in Florida, wanting to shoot their RPD, do they pic their rifle and commit to that serial #?
If the FRT is positive that exact gun will be shipped to that customer?
Dumb questions, but i feel like I need to ask.

Very temping trip, never been to Florida. I think the wife would kill me if I went, since we're expecting a baby around that time.
Screw it, I want to meet my daughter instead.

Please send customers pics of these rifles. We need some thing to help us cope.

We'll post pics, no worries.

I'll make another thread for the 2015 Arms East Spring MG Shoot, but yes, the Semi-Auto RPD ser# you shoot will be your RPD and only you will shoot it. You break it in yourself under the warm Florida sun. When the FRT section sees fit, we send you that rifle. Not the point of the shoot, but if they're there, and you're there, and we're shooting, we are happy to offer the opportunity to shoot your own rifle.

Would love to do the go some were warm thing but since my livelihood revolves around cleaning up snow if/when, I will likely pass, any chance on picking a serial no?

Any chance I can get on a waiting list or something? (yeah, you probably have thousands of ppl that ask that)
The waiting list was closed last year and the rifle was removed from their website, stayed tuned for the FRT ruling though as there is a chance they may be importable from the US once it's given it's non-restricted classification

Thanks, thats what I figured.

I read this thread about what the 12(x) grandfathered guys have to go through to just own their toys and it really pissed me off. Figure the best I can do to show my support and flip off the feds is to get the next best thing, a non restricted belt fed that eats the cheapest most plentiful surplus ammo available.

So yeah when these come on the Canadian market, I'm buying one.

Which one of the rpds will be covered by the FRT?
Is there any chance we can have the FRT for this summer?
Whichever manufacturer the receiver was that was submitted to the RCMP, AE hasn't revealed who made them yet as far as I understand? The FRT ruling could happen any day now or next year, nobody knows.

My understanding is that these were made from all available kits in the US and no more were being imported so the FRT number would not likely apply to a gun built by someone else from different parts.

You're importing the receiver so i'd imagine other RPD's built with identical receivers from the same manufacturer would be allowed in to Canada, if there are even any more out there.

Just saw this posted on "Project Guns" website...

04/18/2015

I have teamed up with a Canadian company Arms East LLC, They have gotten all the necessary licenses to import guns & parts. They have contacts in eastern Europe and we have purchased 100 RPD's that we are in the process of importing. We will be building these into guns for sale here and in Canada.

I am having new barrels made for the RPD, these will be quality CHROME lined replacements for the kits currently available. They should be available for sale in about 6 weeks.
