I thought that there were a finite amount of polish ones and the other ones on the wait list were non polish.
Everyone on the wait list did.

Parts kits. For later sale as built semi auto guns to Canada and U.S. potentially.
Good news for future RPD's built for Canadians I guess, but until the fat lady sings... the wait continues.
All quiet on the Canadian front. Still looking forward to an update from Arms East. We are approaching the 1.5 year mark.
I'm hoping the lab responds to East Arms inquiries. I'm sure east arms would update us if they received a response.
Yup, I know the possible scenarios.
One can dream. Dreams can boost moral. The current reality of watching paint dry is dull.
A "Chin up lads" update would do wonders. Just saying.
Any chance DT can get a hold of the RCMP lab weenies and give us an update?
Also, can we pre order more drums and belts?
well an update would indicate some level of accountability which we know they have fought tooth and nail to not have.Does the lab give updates?
Chin up.

LOL.. thanks I needed that.
I ordered extras at the time the order was placed. Ask them to tack more onto your order.
Just saw this posted on "Project Guns" website...
04/18/2015I have teamed up with a Canadian company Arms East LLC, They have gotten all the necessary licenses to import guns & parts. They have contacts in eastern Europe and we have purchased 100 RPD's that we are in the process of importing. We will be building these into guns for sale here and in Canada.
I am having new barrels made for the RPD, these will be quality CHROME lined replacements for the kits currently available. They should be available for sale in about 6 weeks.
Regarding updates...
I have asked repeatedly with the Senior Firearm Technician (this is one person) for an update and have received no reply since March, which was then a boilerplate 'you are in the queue', which I replied to seeking actual information, not repeated verbatim non-information, no response.
For best results for updates, I suggest those waiting contact their MP and ask for an update. That's no joke. Beyond active customers, ask your MP as well. Keep us in the loop.
These forced examinations (to ensure it isn't a machine gun, as if we would import machine guns and just sell them and hope for the best) should involve our manufacturers information (submitted), a cleaning rod and a measuring tape and should take all of a few hours, tops, including taking the photos. This is not an open ended, multi-year project.
Something is seriously wrong with this relatively new forced inspections for classification regime. As the Minister of Public Safety said in front of cameras, the Criminal Code of Canada classifies firearms in Canada. When we get news we will act. In the meantime, this sits with a Govt organization, the SFSS Section, RCMP, Ottawa. Actual updates. Ask your MP.
My update is no update then too. There is no issue with the rifle, it just must be examined for classification to make sure it is not a machine gun. We are in the queue for examination, but have not yet been examined yet, to the best of my knowledge.
If you get a better update from your MP, let us know!
