RPK $500 at gun show.

Not even worth the risk buying one to me. Youve got to sneak around to shoot it and you cant pass it down to your children either because you wouldnt want them to end up on the hook.

I could care less if they are doing nothing wrong with them but to me its a gun that id not have on my property ;)
 
RPK illegal, check. Sorry for finding a bunch of cool rifles at a little gun show. Next time I see something cool or a good deal on something I won't be posting it here. Some of you are such big fat experts on everything, sorry to be such a rookie on rifles I have never seen before in person. Just thought it was a cool rifle for a cheap price. Didn't know someone was going to take a dump on me for this topic. Rules and regulations seem to change or bend in this country. Some are jamming 10 round mags in SKS's, why not see what people thing of this rifle. I guess I stepped out of the repetitive talk of the SKS.
 
"RPK illegal, check." - Something you could have found out with a Google search or by looking at the FAQ's on this very website. Also, they're not illegal. They're illegal to possess without the proper licensing, there is a difference, but I understood what you were getting at.

Had you have posted pictures of the RPK that don't look like they were taken on a potato and said "Hey, look what I found at the gun show!" no one would have a problem with that. Don't attempt to pretend anyone here has an issue with you finding a cool gun for sale.

However, knowing you, you'll make a post about how SKS's are a great deal, something that is incredibly obvious, and, considering this subsection of the forum, contributes absolutely nothing to the discussion we aren't all already aware of. Also, how do you need to see a firearm in person to know it's prohibited? I've never seen an Uzi in person but I know that they're prohibited because I've read the laws.

RPK's were taken off the list of prohibited firearms overnight and you heard nary a peep of it on a forum focused on rifles like the RPK, as well as not even a whisper of it from the anti-gun media establishments that nearly crapped themselves and went into 24 hour coverage mode when the government said we no longer have to register our non-restricted's. Because that could totally happen. Once again: critical thinking, please do try it.

the 10rd pistol mag in a SKS is 100% legal there is pistols in this cal and mags made for them but it would have taken a little check of the regulations for these guns that have been there since the mid 90's witch every gun owner should know

I found it pretty interesting that he found an rpk for sale here some of you guys need to get laid and stop complaining about repetetive posts and spelling/grammar. I find it hilarious that some can get so worked up over a thread and then have to resort to picking apart the guys spelling to try to offend him. Get a life please.

Judging by what looks to be a HK91 to the left of "RPK" in question there's a number of prohib on that table. If the seller didn't give you a straight answer if you asked "is this non restricted" don't assume it's unregistered or non-res. Sellers get asked similar questions like that all the time at gunshows and the most common thing I've seen said is "if you have to ask you don't have the proper license". Some get asked enough that they know you don't have 12.2, 12.3 or 12.5 and hardly even talk to you once such a line of questioning is started.

I wouldn't assume this is unregistered, or logically the CFO agent that was likely attending the show would have it confiscated in a heartbeat.

Always neat to find hardware you can't own at gunshows, only way some can legally fondle the pieces in Canadian borders.
 
The coolest one was a sterling. It had wood on the pistol grip maybe it was an early version. Looked sweet. There were some heavier machine guns on tri pods. But they said not for sale.
