RPR - Aftermarket Parts

What parts are you looking for?
Jerry at Mystic Precision has barrels and triggers
If you have a Gen 2 then you don't need much else, except if you wanna change out the stock. I went with a Magpul PRS stock and grip

If you have a Gen 1
Grouse River has the shroud, any 6.5mm/308 muzzle break will work

I swapped my Gen 2 muzzle break out with the insite one, definitely worth it

Tracer hit light has very nice shrouds, they have brakes too, bolt knobs.

Insite arms brakes are well worth the money also.

Barrel, get a hold of JC Custom Barrels.

I'm glad I Didn't get a bad one on mine, you could order a Jard trigger if yours is that bad, they have been available for a long time now and ship direct, also didn't brownells also start shipping the $500 allowable to Canada now vs the $200 they use to? I could very well be wrong on that, regardless of you want a different trigger buy one from the US, nothing worse than shooting a gun with a trigger you hate.

I just seen some triggers for the RPR on the Hirsch Precision website I believe they were timney and would be worth checking out

edit just checked and they are timney and are adjustable from 1/2 to 2 lbs seems like a really nice trigger

My trigger is fairly decent, but thinking of trying one of those for a true 2-stage trigger, never tried a straight trigger before wonder what it would be like.

I wouldn't say mine was bad out of the box, lots of creep tho. Any trigger that can t be adjusted below 2# in my books and has to go especially on a precision rifle. I'll say tho even with the heavy trigger the rifle shoots sub MOA with gold medal match. Love the bang for the buck the RPR provides.

Mine actually was crisp and adjusted below 2#, I may have got a lucky one, but anyway I can't leave things as is and a sucker for aftermarket parts so bought a Timney, just got it installed and only dry fired it at the setting it came with, so far I wouldn't say its light years ahead of "my" stock one, but I wasn't a hater of the safety blade.

I do like the longer more gentle curve of the Timney blade but not a fan of the amount of over travel, I prefer the break and no more movement back, honestly this took me by surprise first time I pulled it, right now I'm up in the air over it, will have to try some live fire and then decide if its a keeper or off to the EE.

EDIT:

I just tried the trigger on my buddies brand new RPR dry firing, and it has some creep and not as nice as my stock trigger is, not completely horrible, but my stock trigger is for sure nicer than his.

Playing with the Timney trigger more and more and starting to like it better now, especially the trigger blade vs stock, also the over travel I think will not be noticeable when actually shooting vs trying to analyze the pull dry firing, weather is crappy today so can't give it a real test.

Curious if anyone has swapped out the stock bolt knob for a aftermarket one, I'm looking to buy a stock bolt knob if anyone has one laying around.

.

Just tried to buy the shroud and bolt knob from them yesterday. After I bought it got an email from someone there saying they cant ship any of the parts to Canada, so unless you have a US PO box or something they are a no-go.

That is very strange as I've ordered stuff from Pete at tracer hit light several times?

Want me to email him and ask what's up, I was just talking to him last week, or not that important to you?

I emailed Pete anyway and yeah I guess he said they can't send shrouds anymore, restricted for him to export, WOW.

Try Anarchy Outdoors, also in the US they carry all of the Tracer Hit Light RPR parts and "do/at least did" ship to Canada, see if their export papers covers shrouds.

Cool, I'll check that out. Also tried LRI, it let me order from them then I got an email the next day saying they can no longer ship the shroud to Canada. So odd....

EDIT: Just friend Anarchy, no go on the shipping to Canada. I might email CTCS and see if they can bring any of it in, as heybhad some RPR parts for a while

Either it was added to the ITAR list, or always was in there and nobody knew until someone got a wrist slap, ITAR is one strange thing to figure out, once I couldn't get flip caps for a Aimpoint because they are on the list.

Dang, trying to find local supplier is going to be brutal (only product I can find is the Gen 2 shroud, which has lots of negative reviews)
