rpr handguard

I carried my rpr for deer season this past fall. got used to the weight after the first week but found the aluminum handguard to be cold on the hands even with gloves on. I see there are some carbon fiber models available. Anyone know if they are warmer on the hands, or have any other recommendations for replacement handguard that is not as cold to hold on to in freezing weather?

Yes a carbon fiber fore-end would be much warmer to hold in cold weather. That's my favorite feature of them and why I run one on my AR15. As to fitting one on a RPR, I am not aware of one.
