Is anybody using PRI Gas Buster in their RRA 9mm uppers. I just received my upper from gunsmith decided to swap the Standard charging handle for PRI Gas Buster. The PRI won't work.

It slides easily into the upper all by itself as soon as I will put the charging handle and carrier together the entire assembly binds in the upper.

I'm thinking the RRA gas key is too big. Not that it does anything on 9mm.

Any input on this issue?

Why use a gasbuster in a blowback action? If it's the latch that you like than I'd just install it in your old charging handle.

Your Gasbuster is obviously defective. You should immediately send it to me for a detailed metallurgical analysis so that science as a whole can learn from this "near miss" event and prevent future tragedies. :D

It has nothing to do with the upper. If you compare the standard charging handle to the PRI you will notice extra material near the front of the PRI.

The PRI and standard handles move freely in the upper receiver. The 9mm fake gas key is the culprit because its different from 5.56 gas key.

I had the exact same problem, PRI uses a radius cut on the front of there new series CH instead of a square cut from the factory, use a file or dremel and it works fine!

Clearanced the PRI works fine. Its a brand new build but it doesn't seem to like the RRA magazines. Dropping a bolt on a fresh mag often results in round pushed up and stuck above the chamber?

I didn't have any other magazines to try tonight.
