RRA mags: feeding! (GTA)

I know this has probably been done to death (though no search results yielded it): I have the grey-body, grey-follower RRA version of the LAR 10-shot magazines...and they don't feed at all.


Any ideas/offers of vitally-needed aid?

I had to file mine to get them to work

It seems the rear-edge is also prevent the bolt from riding-forward and picking-up new rounds?

i had to do alot of filing to make mine work, the front side of the feedlip, the rear opening for the bolt to strip a new round, and alot of filing on the front,

Ditto. The best LAR10 style mags that worked every time for me were the XCR pistol mags that Wolverine sells. The steel body ones with orange follower.

I just shot a match with 3 new LAR mags. I tuned them up last night and they all performed perfectly. I did 3 things to the mags. Can't say which "fix" did the trick. I suggest you tyry them in this order:

I filed a round notch in the front edge of the mag body, so the round can leave the mag easily.

I shortened the follower legs by about 1/10" of an inch, so then mags will insert on a closed bolt.

I clipped one coil from the spring.
