Just print off the approval doc that I posted, that Mark released and what he got fro the RCMP Forensic LAB. That should shut them up.

I would not even give him the satisfaction of that. I'd say,

Police : "This magazine can hold ten rounds, your going away for a long time bubba"
Me : "Officer, how many rounds can I have in a pistol magazine?
Police : "Ten"
Me : "And what type of magazines is this, read the stamp on the side..."
Police : "A .223 LAR-15 Pistol Magazine"
Me : "Great, have a nice day."
Me : "Now give me my speed ticket, because I assume thats why you pulled me over."

FRT stands for Firearms Referance Table. a mag is not a firearm, so it doesn't have an FRT.


a RRA 223 pistol will have an FRT, but most people don't have one of those anyways.

Yes, it's legal. There is no legislation regulating what you use your magazines in. You can put rifle mags in handguns and handgun mags in rifles.

Questar's site and many threads will confirm this, not to mention the CFC website.

Wait, I mean no, it's totally illegal, dont' buy any, more mags for me :D
 
PreOrdered 5 today from CRAFM. 210 shipped for 5 ain't bad, and those were the non ### tactical-pul model at 39.99 a pop.

I hope the 5/30 magazine price goes down. :D

now just need to buy a stock and a upper.

Sweet! Too bad the length wont allow for the normal storage/handling of a 5/30. Still is a great deal for twice the rounds per mag. Way to go!

We got a change to play with one of the 40's at SHOT in Orlando but from discussions I had with some of the production staff, you shouldn't expect to see them until late 2007 or more likely sometime in 2008. RRA has so much on their plate (with the .308's, the .458SOCOM, etc.)... and their sales have continued to increase such that they can't keep up... it just doesn't make sense at this time for them to try to release another new product.

The .40S&W version is there... it exists and there is some demand for it from what I saw... but it isn't going to be available "soon" (as far as I know).
