Mark, I checked my parts bin and my gun. The LMT buffer and spring are still in the plastic baggy, so the buffer and spring that came with the lower when I bought it are still in it.
It's a black buffer, with a plastic nobby at the back end.
I don't have any work M16's here to check the buffer on them to compare right now though .....
