Go to e-gunparts.com and look up item # 762880 Rem 1100/1187 replacement seal pack. $24 US. They're in NY, I've ordered all kinds of stuff from them and had no problems getting any of it.
Dave
I just sold the last of my stock - $10 each. They were factory seals bought from Western Gun Parts a few years ago. The factory seals seem different than just "O" rings.
I have the Remington ones, $6.00 ea. Yes they are more expensive than regular O rings because as noted many times on CGN they are high heat Viton rings. Yes,you can probably get Viton rings of the same size cheaper than the Remington ones other places. If you find the same ones a lot cheaper, please advise us all.
Look up Hydraulic Supply Store in the Yellow Pages. Should be one easily to find. Don't bother with Home Depot or Home Hardware. The rings that they sell are rubber or nylon and won't take the heat that the 1100 produces.
Go to the Hydraulic Supply Store and ask for:
Viton O Rings - Ref # 021
OD: 1-1/16"
ID: 15/16"
Width: 1/16"
They are under a $1 each. Print this out and hand it to the guy behind the counter. It's the Ref #021 that they are looking for. Be sure that you get the VITON ones as they are the ones that can handle the heat. They work awesome!!!!
I have no reason to believe that they won't last as long as the orig Rem ones (they are likely the exact same ones but I don't know that for a fact). For the price of $0.40-$0.80 each, you could even change them every 6 months if you wanted, although my first one isn't showing any signs of wear yet. I bought a half dozen and stuck them in a baggie and threw them in a pocket of my range bag. I don't imagine that I will EVER need to buy more. They will likely be brown in colour when you get them. Perfectly Normal. Hope this helps and saves you some money.

What size of O ring is in a remington 1100 gas cylinder?????????
for thoses who have 1187, you dont really need the o'ring if you use magnum loads. i shot 3" magnum, i usualy dont have the o'ring in place, and it works well.
