Well, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised to come accross some significant tree rubs in our hunting area over the past weekend. On Saturday, we walked our area and found a few rubs, but nothing too impressive. We went back yesterday to leave the deer some treats & scout a little more.... To our surprise, from one day to the next there were many more rubs within the same area. We didn't find any scrapes yet though. Our season opens on November 1st here in Zone 5 of Quebec. Anxiously awaiting......

I was out yesterday setting up my new camera and found some
more rubs. Found my 1st scrape with licking branch of the year.
Here is the pic...might be a little hard to make out though. :)

Well, I have been trying to sleep ..... However, every time I close my eyes, I can see my spot & then I begin dreaming about the size of this deer that is making my heart go pitter patter!! Last year I started using doe in estrus scent early in October & dragged a scent wick every time I went to my spot to where I wanted the lil bugger. That worked like a charm & I started using the scent yesteray. Wish me luck!! I think the trick is to get them interested early in the game & then keep em there by refreshing all the time. It seems to work for me anyway!
