Ruger #1 303 British will be made!

We just received word today that Ruger will make the 1-A in 303 British. They are comitted to it. That's very good news and should be well received here in Canada!!

Now there is a bit of bad news :(
They haven't given us a timeline yet. Also, if you wanted a different configuration, I guess we are out of luck.
Lastly, these are not an exclusive, they will be 'on the line' which means regulatr pricing but no special serials, etc.

We' are currently very busy with a large shipment and aren't really up for 200+ phone calls right now about the 303's.
To make things as fair as possible and to give everbody time to find out about this, I'll stat taking $400 deposits on Wednesday March 17. First deposits in, will get the first rifles. Please let me know if this is fair? As its a line item, they will be $1199 ($1279.95 with taxes in and shipped anywhere in Canada)

Thanks to all who have called in and made this 'push' possible. Please let as many know as possible as I'm swamped right now and am lacking time to make a bunch of calls :)

I think it's completely fair, and I am in with a deposit as soon as you want it.:)

Do you know how they will configure serial numbers? On the other thread some of us requested serial numbers, I asked for 168 or 111968 or 1168 or something liek that as it's my birthday.

Not yet. As its a line item, the serial will likely be just wherever they leave off the last rifle. That's one reason I was hoping for the exclusive. Its also hard to say how fast these might trickle in.
Good news is; they'll be a little cheaper.

I'm gonna carve a deer head into the butt on mine instead. Maybe a compass too.

You'll have to excuse Struff55, if it's not a model 12, it's crap!!! I'm sure his boss will want one of these #1s, as I know he likes the #1s in Rimmed calibers!

We'll be ready for it. ;) We will be accepting EMT (payments@prophetriver.com) or credit card.(780.875.0575 or 780.872.2865) Maybe we'll even have a better idea when we might actuallt have the rifles by then. Very exciting. I know I'll be keeping one (after all orders are filled, of course!!)
 
Well for people who want a shooter, this is good news. I guess I will wait and see what models they put them in. As a line item now it might be possible to get a RSI. Even better if they put some Circassian on it. It has lost some appeal as it is not a Canadian special, but is pretty cool what a group of buyers and a few dedicated dealers can do.
