That's extremely simple and some think the world's strongest scope right there. :cool: I've got its poor cousin a Weaver fixed 2.5 and like it but its got that goofy european syle heavy post/crosshair recitle which I don't care for too much.. I like your style in rifles there buddy...

Glenn, you can easily solve the scoping problem by trading the rifle to me and let me worry about it! This is my first posting - Salty told me how to do it, hope it works.

If you consider a scout scope - which I think is a good idea, you will have to make a custom mount in place of the factory quarter rib. I had this done to my #1 .416 Rigby. While I did not mount a scout scope on it, I had a custom quarter rib made to accept Talley QD's, and mounted a Leupold 1-5X so the ocular was even with the face of the falling block. This limited me to using the scope at low power only due to the eye relief changing as the power increased above 3X, but it also gave me 2 advantages. One was that I could not get hit by the scope - a nice feature with a hot loaded .416, but equally important was that it left the loading port unencumbered.
