Ruger#1 accurize

Hey bad boy. How's 'things' up North? I have an article The Ruger No. 1, shooting and tuning by Ross Seyfried that's pretty good. I gave my No. 1 in 22-250 to my son in the interior for use on preds and varmints. While I had it I had a local gunsmith 'tweek' it as/a few suggestions from the article. It made a noticeable difference. I'll send a scan of the article to you. ;)It's on the way as we speak plus another page that may be helpful. Hope it's of some help to you. Let me know if it comes through okay.

A little glass bedding and free floating the forend is the first step... if you can't figure out how to do it, you shouldn't try... :)

For the price of these rifles one would think this would have already been done.
Must be a Ruger thing... :nest:

I've had four, two shot well out of the box so to speak. The other two, not bad but not as good as I thought they should. A little minor 'tweeking' as/a couple of suggestions in that article made a world of difference.

Anybody know where a guy could get a "Hicks Accurizer" for a Ruger No 1 here in Canada? I've tried two different places in the States and they won't/ can't ship to Canada due to regulations. Any help or input would be appreciated. Cheers.
