Nice rifles for sure, I`d have to sit with a bit of sipping whiskey and ponder for awhile on which cartridge i`d want. Likely be one of the old classics, an H&H of one persuasion or another. So many choices not enough bank account.

The only No. 1 chambering that I would never own again is the .375 H+H--off the bench it is the nastiest recoiling rifle I have ever shot--416 and 458 are much more pleasant in comparison.

Really? I had one too and it wasn't that bad at all. I guess it just fits me better - although I don't see how a .416 or .458 in the same rifle would be more pleasant.

I have one in 458WM. If I was getting another it'd be in a rimmed case. The #1 is all about nostalgia and to me a Farquarson should be in a rimmed case.

My thoughts exactly and I think my choice would be 348 Win.
If Ruger built it they would be only the second manufacturer in North America to do so.
Maybe a better solution would be to simply re-barrel my .303....
It would go beside my Mod. 71 in the safe.
