Ruger #1 in 303 British

really like mine, but haven't shot it much in the last couple years. Only critter that I've shot with it was an aggressive ruffed grouse

I really like mine. Moose, whitetail bucks, and coyotes have been shot by my Ruger #1 in .303 British. My daughter also likes shooting it. It is her favorite rifle.

I have cut the stocks on 2 Rugers in 303british for customers and I must say they both had beautiful wood!
I kept both cut off as they were that nice! They just needed to be trimmed a bit to fit both customers and have a nice Pachmeyer installed. Both gentlemen were very pleased with there Canadian 303 hunting rifles.

Cheers Dale Z!

In a few calibres, I've had and like the #1. The 303Br. is kind of a classic calibre and for my tastes, I'd prefer a more era compatable single shot make and calibre match up. Something along the lines of one I presently have the loan of, to shoot and crank out reloads for, a John Rigby:).

To own a single shot in 303Br., this I would 'like' to have:D:D.

Here is a pick of my ruger 303 beside my win model 70 375 H&H I got both from Clay. I was wondering perhaps winchester would want to make a leaver 303 brit again This could be another project......any interest?????

I picked up a slightly used one last winter that I have yet to hunt with but looking forward to it this fall.
Love the rifle and the caliber, I will post pics this weekend, came with a Leupold 3X and i think I will leave it that way.

Love my Ruger #1 303 British. I've hunted with it but haven't killed with it yet. When I have it scopeless its one of the nicest carrying rifles I've ever hunted with. And it's not bad scoped, either :)
