Ruger #1 receivers all the same?

pardon my ignorance but is the Ruger #1 receiver the same across the board?

ie: is it the same in strength and dimensions for the #1 stainless tropical in .375 H&H as it would be for the #1 stainless varminter in .22-250?

In a word - YUP!
Same as the number 3, the only difference being the opening lever and the stocks.

From what the guys over on the Ruger Forum say,they are all the same. differences are in ejectors and barrels.

As accurate as any varmint rifle out there, for sure.
I've owned the No.1HV in .223, 25/o6, and had one rebarreled with a heavy barrel in .308

I had a stainless synthetic 22/250. Accuray was good when I did my part.

I had a No.1 VT in 22-250 that shot the yellow box Remington 45 grain hollow point into a half inch or less if I could do my part. It was a gorgeous piece, but I got stupid and traded it off 'cause I was too wimpy to carry the heavy barrel in the field!
