I have both on some of my Rugers, the Kepplinger on a 22 Hornet, 7x57 1A and a 30-06 standard. I polished the top of the Kepplinger trigger housing, where it bears against the sear bar, using a hard felt wheel and fine(green) buffing compound, polishing to a mirror finish. Then I stoned & polished the bottom of the sear bar where the Kepplinger contacts with a rotating motion.
I adjusted the trigger so it is in contact with the sear bar. This gives an excellent very smooth unset trigger. When set the trigger is fantastic.
I have the Moyers unit ona 375H&H and a 458 Win. It has adjustments for sear contact, overtravel and pull weight. It is definetly not junk andis much better than the now current stock Ruger trigger. One one of mine the casting was a bit rough so I ground the trigger face grooves off, and gave the trigger face a slightly convex rounded shape, more like a high quality shotgun trigger, polished, blued then installed. Makes for a good feeling trigger on one of these heavy rifles.
Either is a step in the right direction vs the Ruger trigger.
