Ruger #1 varminter scope mount...

Bought a Ruger #1-V in 220 Swift ahile ago------mounted my scope (nikon monarch). I found the scope needed to be mounted further to the rear. Ordered an offset ring---that brought it back some but not enough. I can't seem to find a solution......short of shortening the length of pull-----does any body make a rail to fit this rifle? Any suggestions appreciated.

That won't work.

Buy a Leupold or Redfield with more eye relief. Look for a scope with 4" plus of relief.

That was my next suggestion. More eye relief.

The scope has 4 inches of relief as per the website.
Thanks for the suggestions. Think I will keep looking for a rail of some type.

4" of eye relief is not enough then, you can find Leupolds with 4.9"

That's what I did for my no.1. In fact, almost all my rifles have Redfields now.
