Ruger 10/22 .22MAG or other?

The 10/22M hasn't been made since '06, so I doubt there would be new ones for sale. The 96 and 77 series mags are the same but not the 10 series. Ruger says none of them are interchangeable but I don't see the difference in the 77 and 96 ones.

Marlin 922m

If you want you might look into the availability of a Marlin 922m. It will cost less than the 10/22 mag. It is also discontinued but down here in the states they do turn up more often than the Ruger 22 mag. My experience has been a stock Marlin .22 will out shoot a stock Ruger .22 anyday. My buddy has a 922m that he says he will never get rid of. He did get rid of the Ruger 96/22 mag to buy it.
 
Well i dont want really want one if they are flinicky. I know my dads friend has a Marlin semi .22mag that I loved. I wonder if its a 922m, I'll see if he will sell it to me. If not I'll get my hands on a CZ and see how I like it.
 
When funds permit I'm going to get the 512 magnum . I've heard nothing but good things about it .....and it looks dead ###y !
