Ruger 10/22 ammo Horrible

I had a Henry 22 that shot like crap using Winchester and cci ammo but was very accurate using that cheap bucket of bullets Remington stuff

Comments in the Bullseye Forum indicate there are issues with the quality of CCI SV. Many shooters are switching to Aguila as a lower cost alternative.
Aq is OK but I hate the smell, worse than the Chines MS for my SKS.
And as for the Fed Auto-match, I had lots of FTF with them. I quit buying them when the price went up to $30+ per box = 9c/round is high for bad ammo.

While I believe CCI SV is probably the best American Made ammunition there are some rifles that just don't like it.
It was often said never buy a car that was made on Monday or Friday it was also reported that the manufacturers only made black cars Tuesday to Thursday. Maybe the same applies to CCI where they reportedly make 4,000,000 round per day in Idaho. When a bin is not full at the end of one shift the next shift fills it. The more senior employees probably work the day shifts and there is no quality control on nights or weekends.
When I asked about the significance or the lot numbers on the trays of CCI SV they only mean something to the company.
One of my 10/22's has a Dlask barrel and occasionally FTE. Thought it was giving great accuracy with a lot of TENEX Biathlon, nothing outside the 9 ring but all of that changed on game day.
The other 10/22 is used for speed steel and digests everything from CCI SV to Blazer to Thunderbolts to CCI MiniMags. I acquired a McGowan Match barrel but experienced FTF and FTE with no improvement for accuracy.
CCI" MiniMags were producing 2" groups at 100 yards with RN and the HP's were 6" groups 3" to the left but not from a 10/22.
Rimfire is a challenge with the best rifles and finding the ammunition each prefers.
