Ruger 10/22 auto bolt release

Site sponsor ellwood epps might have it. Just call them to find out. They have alot of 10/22 parts. Me personally, I would do the mod yourself...its easy and fast to do, and with step by step instructions, in the sticky, you can save yourself the money.

I did mine this weekend, it was very easy, needed a youtube video to put it back together though, took about 40 minutes from start to finish.

Can anyone tell me where I can order a ruger 10/22 auto bolt release online that ships to Canada. All the ones I have found don't ship to Canada.
I don't want to mod the factory one.

$10.00 + and 5.75 for shipping from Bronells .. They ship all the Ruger parts you want below $100.00 to Canada .. They break up trigger packages to get below the $100 limit also ( for your next mod ) .. Get some hex takedown bolts for $4+ while you are at it for no extra cost in shipping .. I chose the volquartsen one (they offer two ) as it had better site reviews ..

Edit: Use a desktop .. Their site sucks on iPad .......

Did my own with a small hobby file. Only took a few minutes and I got to learn how to correctly take apart and re-assemble my trigger group. Good stuff.

I have owned a dremel and a quality set of files since they came out .. Well not the files ..I am old but not that old ... I could easily mod my OEM unit .. But if I re-sell the unit I want it to be as cherry as possible .. Have to be insurance minded these days .. So I would rather pay $20 bucks now on a replacement modded unit, than $2000 bucks later having a paid mouthpiece convince a jury that a bolt lock mod was an accepted practice in 2012 .....

If you look close there are many designs .. I chose the volquartsen, but the hical one was not on my radar ( see post number 4 ) . Promag and volquartsen seem to have a good rep, but supporting hi-cal is supporting a Canadian outfit ... When I say designs , I mean of the actual hole , and I have read posts of people getting sub standard units ( soft metal ) .. So if not for a recognized dealer and a recognized designer part , I would most likely stick to molding my own OEM unit ..

I realize you said you don't want to modify the existing, but truly the mod takes only minutes and cost nothing if you have a few basic tools and not much skill required.
