Has anyone heard of the Auto Bolt Stop by Custom Shooting Technologies?

This is the replacement part for the Ruger 10/22 that is supposed to hold your bolt back after the last shot is fired. I order this part form Brownells along with an auto bolt release (just incase it doesn't work). I would like to know if I can take CST's auto bold stop and modify it to act as an auto bold release aswell.

Their website is http ://www.cstmtech.com/.... The modification is alittle pricy but it might be worth it.

I was told before that dry firing it doesn't hurt, but I still like the idea of it working like my other semi-autos.

Yeah.... They will send me a 10 round modified mag with this mod. Other 10 round mags can be modified very easily by filing down a wedge for the new extractor to sit in. The only issue I see is that (according to CST) using large compacity mags can produce issues due to the mag spring not maintain the same tension from first to last round. This can allow the extractor to push down on the last few remaining rounds and lock the bolt back (with rounds still left in the mag). I will eventually try to fix this problem by playing around with various large compacity mags and springs.

I was hoping that one of our fellow CGNs had experience with this mod.... But I guess this is not a very common mod.
