Lookin to build up a 10/22 to be a great offhand rifle. Keepin in mind I'm a big guy 6'1 250ish
Wondering if I could have some opinions about barrel length for a boyds blaster stock?
I already have a savage btv for bench work, with bipod et all, so I am looking at putting together my 10/22 for offhand work.
I hate the feeling of an overly light rifle (stock carbine) but for offhand, I don't want something as front heavy as the savage.
I am thinking the boyds with a bull barrel will have a good weight to it, but to avoid the front heaviness I am not sure what length to go with?
20"
18"
16"
18 inchers seem hard to find and are pricey. I have found an awesome deal on a 20" butler creek.
I also don't want the rifle to look to small, if that makes sense?
If somebody had a pic of one with 16 I would love to see it and hear from them.
