Ruger 10/22 bull barrels

OK post a pic of a McGowen, GM, Shilen and dlask Bull barrel. State the weight and length and show everyone please.
Then compare it to a carbon or aluminum barrel and just state the numbers.
I'm not saying Dlask barrels are crap, far from it. Just read my first post. However why did you go with the shorter barrels on all your guns?
Tell us that also please. Dlask does make longer barrels than 12.5"
The OP wanted info on all Bull barrels, atleast I'm giving him all the info. Just trying to help him out. Other than just stating what you like.

So....wait...you're comparing CM or stainless barrels to a carbon wrapped barrel or an aluminum/sleeve barrel? Lets compare apples to apples shall we? I might as well compare my 26" Shilen select match 1" OD to my 12.5" Dlask if we are just going to compare random stuff, it's totally heavier.

Gentlemen..............................
Let's not turn this into a pi$$ing match!

I asked a question, got some suggestions, I'm happy now.

Thanks for the tips guys!

WOW!!!

YOU have been dissing Dlask barrels specifically because according to you they are "TOO HEAVY" and it turns out that you are comparing them to an ALUMINUM OR CARBON FIBER BARREL!!! Get a grip... how is that fair... Dlask barrels weigh exactly what any other manufacturers barrels weigh when the material is the SAME... this may surprise you but many shooters don't like the weight, balance or performance of aluminum barrels... of which I am one. And... my barrels are short, because I prefer the handling characteristics of short barrels not because of weight... if I wanted a longer barrel at the same weight, I would just order a sporter profile rather than a bull profile.

most around here are getting tired of your baseless, poorly thought-out rants...

Well, based on the last few posts, it would appear this member is famous for these kind of baseless rants. If that's the case, it's not a pi$$ing match, it's several other frustrated members trying to put an end to baseless, uninformed, irrational posts that only serve to spread misinformation and quiet frankly, slander/libel. You should want this, otherwise you're given bad information to make a decision with.

My exact reasoning for the Dlask I have and the same reasons I'll put one on my other 10/22 soon, too.

Again, I'm just saying be honest with a poster if they are looking for a barrel. The them all the fact, which helps everyone out.
Did I say dlask barrels suck?
Come off your high horse. You just stated that if you were going with a longer barrel you'd get a different barrel. Thus you just proved my point. A long dlask barrel is simply a club/bat that shoots great!
Do you say this, NO.
Again, just trying to help out the OP!

And once again...............thanks for the help.
I know that bull barrels are heavier than the stock sporter barrels.........................I have no problem with that. I prefer a heavier barrel on my bench rifles.
All I was looking for was suggestions as to any retailers that may have a bull barrel in stock. I have some options now.

I get the distinct impression that we are dealing with a cognitive issue here...

I didn't "prove" your point... I said if weight is an issue and you want a long barrel then you order a "sporter" barrel not a "bull" barrel... Weight has never been an issue for me... I prefer heavier barrels, but I also prefer shorter barrels, and so I always order bull contour barrels... and Dlask .920" bull contour barerls weigh exactly the same as a Kidd/GM/E.R Shaw/ etc... etc... .920" bull contour barrel of the same length...

If a shooter is ordering a bull contour barrel, it is probable that he is looking for extra weight to steady his shooting... otherwise he would be looking at a Tac-Sol or Whistle Pig aluminum or Carbon Fiber sleeved barrel and not overly concerned about bench groups...

little_airwolf... you say that you are trying to help people out but all you do is cloud the issue because you introduce nonsense into the discussion... I don't know what it is going to take for you to understand a simple concept.

I hope you're finished with your rant also. he poster started looking for a bull barrel. I gave him options. You just showed off all your toys.
I didn't cloud the issue, you were just trying to pick have a pissing match, be honest!

I am also quite sick and tired of little airwolfs useless nonsense posts about weight issues. I love my tac sol barrel but I don't go around talking $%&# about every other setup. If weight of a heavy barrel makes you this upset little air wolf, you should hit the gym. By the way, how did you make out with your bx 25 round mags? LMAO

You mean did hi-cal reimburse his mags bought from the states :) LOL

You'll definitely want to build a wheeled chassis for that thing. A similar set-up to a Howitzer should work well haha. What type of .22LR chamber is the barrel reamed in, x-treme or sporter?

It's going to be sporter chambered.
Fella that I talked to said the the x-treme won't chamber CCI ammo. I have 8,000 rounds of CCI ammo (as well as other stuff) so I'd like to use it.

They're cutting the chamber and blueing it today, should be shipped in a couple of days.
Got the stock (Boyds blue thumbhole) ordered. Just need to pick up a donor action and some internal parts.
