After a couple thousen rounds through a 10/22 rifle.. i wonder if every factory extractor are bound to get "rounded" at the tip.. and create more FTE over the time and rounds.. or is it just bad luck and the factory extractor should be enough ?

Its pretty much the only thing that i did not changed yet on mine.. extractor.. worth it to change it ? change the ejector too at the same time ?

My barrel is a Dlask 10 / 22® SS .920 .22LR 16.5" Bull Barrel - X-Treme, in case its important.

An extractor is like what? $15, including postage, for as expensive as you can find?

Change it out when you have trouble, if you have trouble, sooner if you want.

Keeping a spare around is really cheap insurance but... my stock one is going on 30 years old this year. :)
The same extractor is used in the MK 1/2/3 series pistols too. Not uncommon.

Do you happen to know a sponsor who got them for that price? Volq for exemple.

I usualy order what i cant find from brownel and the shipping raise the bar 3-4 times that price

Can't remember the price, but I got a Volq one from Milarm a few months back. I just bought the bolt tune-up kit.

Have not had a chance to try it out yet and see whether it fixed the horrible function problems that suddenly seemed to have come on last fall.

Shipping from Brownells is only 5.75. The only reason shipping would be so expensive is if you choose a rush option. Everything i have ordered so far (under $100) has been 5.75 to ship. takes 2 weeks.

Which option do you choose? OP, Hical has power custom extractors. On a factory sporter chamber you can get away with a lightly worn extractor. On a match chamber a good one makes a big difference. Mine went from stovepiping machine to only stopping for duds (dont buy remington ammo) with a match chamber.

from what i remember, i choosed the cheapest method of shipping from Brownells.. the last time i ordered a 30-35$ hammer (trigger pull around 3lbs after installation) it cost me 70-75$ on slow shipping.. if it was 5.75.. i would not have posted here probably and just order it!
