Ruger 10/22 failure to drop magazine

Following a cleaning, my 10/22 magazine will nonstop. It requires a screwdriver pressure from the port to drop. Same problem with both magazines.
Maybe some lube required?

Over tightened the action screw?
If it’s a factory configuration with the plastic stock everything is floppy and you are going to have to play around a bit with the action location in the stock

It is a 10/22 action with a Kidd trigger group, Dlask heavy barrel in a laminate stock. Need the correct hex head to relax it a bit.

Test barreled action outside of the stock. Likely it will drop just fine. Time to properly bed the barreled action with a pillar

We found that the magazine would drop when pressure was applied to the trigger guard. I suspected the rear pin had fallen out but did not have the correct hex head.
When the action was removed from the stock the pin was loose in the stock.
