Ruger 10/22 feed problems

Have had a 10/22 for 4 years now. Stainless etc. not really happy with it due to feed problems, however, last year I switched from Winchester SuperX to CCI Velocitor.
First 2 rounds went no problem, the third went off prematurity in the breech.
After checking barrel, no stuck bullet, but it will not feed any more. the round comes up and hits the barrel at half way on the head.

Suggestions all?

Clean the bolt face and try a different magazine.

Change you name and sell on the EE for a good profit. Or try a different mag after a good cleaning. Inspect barrel face for lead smears and clean bolt.

If the cleaning doesn't do it, I would try:

Lock the bolt open and remove the barreled action from the stock.
With the barrel pointed up, loosen the two screws in the v-block holding the barrel to the receiver. Make sure you can move the muzzle slightly toward the top of the receiver.
Then, alternating from bolt to bolt, gradually tighten them again. Just make contact, then tweak a little, then a little more, then tighten each with one finger only. You're looking for no more than 12 INCH pounds each.
When you reassemble the gun, leave the barrel band off.

If that helps, and you like the barrel band, then consider clearancing it so it doesn't touch the barrel when it's on. And remember, there is a front and a back to that band. It slopes with the contour of the barrel.

Sometimes, with the v-block on the bottom of the barrel, and the barrel band in the middle, the muzzle end of the barrel can be pulled down. This would tip the chamber up, potentially interfering with the feeding path. There is a replacement v-block available with a set screw to hold the barrel up, or you can drill and tap the stock one if you're handy.
