sweet, nice colour changing! how difficult was it getting the stock to fit the barrel and stuff?

Thanks. It wasn't very difficult, all i had to do was open it up (with sandpaper, to .920 (its free floated so its probably closer to 1 inch)

Guys, just a question for you. How much do you think I could sell the stock for? I dont really expect to get much for it but I am just curious. $75 or so? I spent about $50 just for material and the carbine stock its self is probably worth $40 or so but it was just the learning experience that made it worth while. It aint perfect and it has a few dings in it, but its preatty nice, and it is built for benchrest shooting. So whadya think. All repplies are appreciated. I don't really care if I can't get $5 for it, I am just curious :D

Thanks guys. I may put it up for sale, or I may just keep it. The stock is definately not perfect (there are imperfections that the photos don't show), but it is nice. I like the wide forearm for benchrest shooting. I tried it out the other day and it rides the bags quite nice. I didn't shoot much for groups though. I might put it up for $100 or so, I dont feel its worth $150.

Ok, I have decided to keep it guys. There are too many little imperfections and little dents and I don't thinkt the buyer would be all that happy. And that wouldn't be good :(.

I don't know if this would make for a very good stock but Lincoln Welding crates that the welders are shipped in have(had?) skids made from Oak so you might be able to pickup a few of those and practice on them to try your hand at oak without spending too much money.
