So I have a Ruger 10/22 in .22 LR but I was curious and my internet browsing has shown that they produced a 10/22 in .22 Mag or WMR from '98 to 2006.

So my question is, how common are they up here in Canada?

I would love to get my hands on one.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I have one (top of pic)
Single extractor version.
I've had no problems at all with it so far.
They're few and far between.

Magnum Research makes a semi auto in .22Mag...takes 10/22 mags and a few other parts from one I believe. Probably easier to get then a Ruger one.

lol The EE one is going for $1300! Ridiculous!

Wow it's very identical to the 10/22!

How much do they go for up here in Canada? I found some stuff on the net saying $800?

Obviously you haven't looked for one. I'll let you know how I arrived at that figure:

.17hmr Barrel -$300
Hogue Stock - $100
Heavy bolt handle - $75
VQ hammer kit - $50
Scope $100
Shipping $40-50

So $1300-675 in extras, that are not available anymore = A nearly new Ruger 10/22 magnum, with the more desirable single extractor, for $625. Wow, am I out to lunch on that, ridiculous even. You don't want it don't buy it, but don't get on here and talk s**t about something that you obviously don't have any clue on. Guys are selling used 10/22's for $75 more than new ones and my rifle is overpriced? I don't need to sell this, I just thought since I'm not shooting it that I'd pass it on to someone who would appreciate it. Oh, by the way, your Internet research must have also told you that Ruger no longer produces this rifle, so there is a small margin of collector value there as well. :HR:

1300 is pretty fair . Ive built one as well .
700 gun
180 yukon stock
250 whistle pig 17hmr barrel
150 Vq Magnum trigger kit
250 Vq 22 wmr barrel
20 upgraded firing pin
add in scope, rings, mags and shipping for all the parts
I coundn't let mine go for 1300 . its a pain in the A$$ to find the gun and custom parts

oh i forgot the best part .. you can buy vq 25 rd mags for that unsightly goper patch.

A new Volquartsen will run about $2000 depending on what you add on. If you can find a Ruger for under $1200 buy it.

I pd $450 for my 10/22M w/ an extra Butler Creek target barrel and stock. The original barrel and wood stock had not been used. They had Shooter's Ridge 25 rd mags on the shelf as well. It's okay, not great so far after 200 ish rds. Curious to see the difference between the single and dual extactor's.
