Ruger 10/22 Magazines: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly???

My 10/22 runs like a sewing machine with either the factory spool magazine or the Steel Lips 25-rounders. I haven't tried any other magazine type.

Factory 10 rounder, BC steel lip and BC hot lip all work dependably on mine. I've had malfunctions, but it was related to the ammo or the state of cleaning of the gun more than the mags, because when cleaned back up, they all worked reliably. I'd imagine the steel lip will outlast the "hot lips".
