Ruger 10/22 Problem

Hi so i went shooting yesterday with my 10/22 and everything worked good. But last night I was cleaning the boar of the gun and the cleaning rod got stuck in the barrel. I dont know if there was an obstruction in it but i cant get it out. Its in there good. Any suggestions how to fix this ? I put a lot of lubricant down the barrel to see if it would do anything and let it sit last night. No luck so far thow. Any Suggestions would be very helpful. Thx
 
Is the whole rod stuck in there or is it just the brissle part?If its the whole rod then just put your gun in a vice then clamp a vice grip on the rod and start tapping the vice grip and rod until it comes out.
 
Barrel obstruction

1. What type of cleaning rod...aluminum or steel....solid or jointed?

2. You put rod in from muzzle or breach end?

3. What was on the end of the cleaning rod...brush, cloth, (both?) or ..?

4. About where is the obstruction...near stock...or..?

You may have to consider removing the barrel, (real easy) then clamp the barrel safely in a vise and have at er!!! Consider pushing it right through then unscrew the end and your done.

It was an aluminum cleaning rod thats jointed with a brush on the end , i put it in the muzzle end its stoped going in about 9 inchs from the muzzle. Im gessing the obstructions about half way through.
 
1) get a set of vice gripes lock them on the rod and tap it out ..
2) throw that pos rod away....
3) go buy a 1 piece rod like a dewey and or boresnake

if your close by ill get it out for you np..
