After 5000+ rounds in one of my ruger 10/22.. all my 4 Butler creek mags are a little bit shaky in it which create a few failure to feed .. and one time at the range, i was pulling the bolt handle to chamber a round and the mag fell. can see the shakiness on the mag left and right a little by moving the rifle. when i touch the mag release on the opposite side (not to release the mag) i got the feeling that it become solid for a few second but become wobbly again quick.
The only hint i got from the range instructor was to maybe put a bit of oil on the round part with a hole in the center, that keep the mag steel pin and hold the mag
Is there a way to adjust it... is that situation ever happen to one of you ? Can it be adjusted so the round part (in the red circle) extend a bit more .. could this be the solution ?
thank you for your input.. help.. im pretty sure im not the first ruger 10/22 owner that had that happen.
