Hi Guys,

I just received my new Ruger 10-22 in the mail from Bass Pro and it arrived with a little red trigger lock on it.

So I did a little searching and apparently this is not the first time this has happened. A couple of other guys have had this same thing happen.

Not sure if its law to do that when its being shipped or if it should have been removed before it was shipped but either way don't worry it doesn't have any ink or anything in it.

It is easy to remove just use a set of needle nosed pliers in the holes and twist to the left after a turn or two you can spin it out by hand and it will come apart no troubles bubbles.

Just wanted to post on here on the off chance anyone else runs into it.

Not unusual.
Bass Pro won't sell a firearm without their little red trigger lock on it. I believe they put them on each firearm received in store.....at least here in Calgary.
There should have been a key (round thing size of a quarter with 2 points on it) taped to the inside of the box the firearm came in.

There was no key anywhere that I could find and I checked but no matter got it out anyways. I did order it from the Calgary store. I really like that store they are great to speak to over the phone and pretty accommodating. Good prices too got the 10-22 for $279 cdn. and the replacement stock a promag archangel 556R for $159 cdn.
