Ruger 10/22 Stock Change

If you want a well made lightweight aluminum chassis stock I recommend the Spectre Ballistics G3.

It is very well engineered, fits great and is easy to install.

.

Do you have a specific use in mind
Or $, or look
Probably range from $100 - $1000+

Fajen,Hogue overmold I use for target
Plinkers have Choate, Butler Creek, Ruger, Ramline

I prefer the pistolgrip or thumbhole ones over the straight stocks
Although they take up more room in cases or the safe

If you havnt already have a look at the 10-22 pic thread
Lots of choices there

Victor titan are nice and Manners makes a Carbon Fibre collapsible but which is basically the PRS model for rimfire but they’re hard to get and expensive!

Thank you fellas you have given me some choices to look at it .
Likes to all of you !
I know I don’t really like the look of Thumbhole .
I’m thinking maybe something Tacticool looking
I will look at the 10/22 pic thread as suggested by Southerner 45 that might whittle it down

I guess I will ask this here rather than start another thread let me know if I should start another thread on it

When does a 10/22 not become a 10/22 ? To my limited knowledge a 10/22 is made by Ruger

At what length of barrel does it become illegal ?
I will start with that

Always gonna be a 10/22 or 10/22 style. AR is a AR even if it made by other than Armalite. VQ, Automag, Magnum research and many others make a 10/22 reciever. Or reciever that can run 10/22 barrels, stocks etc

When the OAL is less than 660mm.

Just took a quick peek at the 10/22 Picture Thread . There is some really nice upgrades on there. For now I think I should look for a stock that I can just drop the 10/22 into meaning the current receiver and barrel .
Also add some items that would improve accuracy to it

MDT Field Stock or Magpul MOE are nice depending on intended usage.
I still want one of them Luth-AR MCA stocks

I have 2 wood stocked 10/22 ‘s . I’m thinking of changing out the stock on one , any ideas ?
Thank You
MDT Black Friday sale this Friday. Times have e not been released, but there will be a mad rush when they do. I believe the ACC G2, Oryx, and Fieldstock are available in 10/22. Factory Seconds go for 30%-40% off.

The ACC is great for PRS, the Oryx is great for bench and prone, and the Fieldstock is for hunting. I have owned the Oryx and ACC, both were quality for their respective price points.

I have tried and used probably 20 different styles.

A few of my favorites were the "Crazy Ivan", "ULW by taccom", "grey birch". But you get the idea of a minimalist style I have run.

I had a custom "tesro evolution" made to fit my anschutz straight pull. https://www.tesro.ca/rifle-and-pist...s/tesro-smallbore-stock-evolution-10-pro.html

Not for the faint of heart, but it works for me.

I like the look of the laminated ones as well, just haven't ran any on the 22's yet.

MDT field stock and the Spectre have great locking systems in them to hold securely. I have both and the both have advantages. My only dislike on the MDT is the cheek rest locking system, easy to get out of adjustment if you put too much pressure on it. I have a Victor Titan stock as well. It's decent but nowhere as secure holding the action in.

Depends how much you want to spend. I had a Magpul Hunter X22 stock and didn't like it. Too heavy and bulky.

Currently I have a SBI G3 "do it all" type of build and a Wiland USA superlight build. I love them both but they aren't cheap. Especially the Wiland chassis as I had to get it directly from them down south.
