I am interested with Rimfire Precision shooting. I have looked at few matches and it looks like fun. My spouse will do it with me, so double fun. I have Ruger 10-22 and would like to use it for matches before I spend money on something better. What stock would you recommend? Right now, I have a plain laminated ruger stock.

I wouldn't do anything, just use the rifle as is with your laminated stock. If you're just getting into the game, it's much more important to gain practice/experience with the game. Get a decent scope that you could use for a more exotic PRS rifle in the future.
I'm using a Greybirch 1022 clone myself and like it. It has a Magpul stock with a PIC rail at the bottom of the foreend so I can mount a bipod using a quick release atteachment for those shots you need a bipod for.

I really like my Magpul stock on my Ruger 10/22.

After years of fiddling with wooden stocks, stocks from Choate and Fajen I have settled on the Magpul piece. It is a tight fit, which helps snug up the floppy old rimfire rifle. The adjustable length of pull and especially the ability to adjust the comb height (with spacers) is a real boon, in my opinion. The stocks also allow the use of skinny and bull barrels - so you can swap scopes and barrels.
