So BX-25 is prohibited, now RCMP believes that Butler Creek 25 round mag is prohibited device as well.

Here what you can do to continue tactical approximation, tactical training for a beginner, tactical training for kids/ small women and, of course, cheap tactical training in terms of transitions/ target acquisition etc:

10 round rotary mag and DUMMY STICK
scottwerx-1022fungun-dummy-stick-magazine-extension.gif

CONS:
holds only 10 rounds, expensive for a thing and it is a big question if you can get it legally from USA
PROS:
allows tactical training; fits into the fist of most people, and, thus feels like a real capacity mag; rotary factory mags are very reliable; no risk for rounds to fall out

TRULY TACTICAL BI-MAG COUPLER
CONS:
you have to spent around 4-5 hours to make it nice and beautiful; rounds may potentially fall out from upside-down mag; at this time, no commercial version, thus have to glue pieces together
PROS:
cheap, basically, free if you have already some glue, paint, filing, sanding tools, paint; feels like a real mag; holds 20 rounds (10+10); rotary factory mags are very reliable; has a potential for storage if you make it from plastic/ metal

(come on comment on minions, somebody must be a smart ass)

Non-tactical Bi-Mag
10-22Doubler_installed.jpg

CONS:
Still very short, costs money; potential risk for rounds to fall off in the down magazine (potential); not tactical; need to order from USA
PROS:
Saves time; 10+10 reliable rotary mags

Crocodile Tri-Mag

Cons:
it is not tactical, not even close; risk for some rounds to fall off (potential); costs money
Pros:
holds 30 rounds; available in Canada

10 round non-rotary
35515-118584

Cons:
holds only 10 rounds; barely tactical; not as reliable as rotary factory mags
Pros:
available in Canada; RCMP didn't prohibit this one yet

Previously I would never use a Garand for solo gopher hunting, since you would be tactically overrun as soon as they heard the dead man's ping.
If gophers can count up to 10 now, the same will apply to the 10/22. However, the 10/22 has no bayonet, so end of tactical story there.
I am going to have to adopt new tactics, 10 +1, that oughta fool them for a while.

That's a lot of tactical in three posts!

did I say I am against RCMP? I am trying to be law-abiding responsible citizen, but man that Butler prohibition is subject to big dispute...
Three posts as no more than 2 photos allowed-at least I couldn't have three.. r u offended?

"If it was all about saving money, we'd all be shooting Stevens 200s in 30/06."-maybe

I have yet to read why anyone's life has been complicated, inconvenient maybe but complicated, first world problems

So I guess this means 22LRs are no longer the "go-to" gun in SHTF scenarios? (10 rounds and all)

any gun is a go-go for shtf.. when you can choose: choose very reliable, easy to clean w/o tools and cheap... bolt with open sight can be a nice shtf rifle... I hope I clarified my point... and 10/22 needs a screwdriver to take the bolt out-so suboptimal...

When gophers organize, you darn well better get your tactical on! What the heck is a tactical .22 for?

to train for the real rifle

it is not for the whole sake of making .22 tactical as it is crazy-gophers as many r joking don't care

if u were training with 25 rnd mags and now rcmp thinks that whatever you legally bought, spent your sweat/ blood/ money (and now it is your property) is now illegal as per rcmp interpretation, isn't too much for a capitalistic country which says about freedom on each occasion? to say this is inconvenient is nothing to say.. this is against fundamental rights, unless u r from N. Korea, r u?

The "real rifle" is further neutered to 5 rounds.... :kickInTheNuts:

:feedTroll:

d:h:

yup, 5 rounds is definitely going to stop evil ppl.. at least liberals think this way
also, if law-abiding citizen is disarmed and cannot carry guns.. it will neutralize criminals who will anyways find the illegal weapon to do their thing.. again-common neo-liberalism

anyhow.. what about actual magazines-did I miss any tacti-cool mags for Ruger?

PS why u r bitting the poor pony-horse?
