Does anyone here like/use their factory Ruger 10/22 take down case? I am after one (gun didn't come with one unfortunately) and it seems like a pretty good solution for storage/transport.

How is the build quality? Any spare room for "extras"?

Thanks!!!

They are okay, can be challenging when you have optics attached as there is no allowance for that. Personally, I would suggest a Hazard 4 sling pack which will do the job better and is avaialble in a series of different finishes. Much better quality too.

Only problem is cost, but as you don't have a pack that's not going to be such a problem?

If you remove the cannolis and reconfigure the case it might work?

There are a tonne of videos on YouTube. Some like them, some don't.

For me, the OEM Ruger case is larger than it needs to be; I greatly prefer a Skinner.

I am a big fan! Last year I drove over mine, rifle and magazines all safely tucked inside, with a big 4wd John Deere tractor. The case was buggered, and one old magazine, but rifle, ammo, cheapo red dot all survived to fight another day.
