Ruger 10/22 Takedown Optic

Personnally, I cant see the justification ( money wise ) from this to the stock version.
The gentleman installed a cheap Vortex for optic. I cant imagine he is willing to spend that much for such thing.
but thats just me.

Once you add the chassis, its kind of a taste of crack. Next comes a carbon barrel and higher end optic. The chassis is the gateway drug.

On.Hunter, I forgot to mention that I needed an off set one piece mount to get the bugbuster back far enough for good eye relief!

I used this one,

UTG Picatinny Weaver Bi-Directional Offset 1-Inch Ring Mount

In keeping with the compactness and light handling characteristics of a Ruger takedown, I would, and have mounted a small reddot. This makes added sense, if like mine, it's fitted with a magpul takedown stock. It's not my expectation that I will be taking long precision shots, so it serves. If you have different expections, then there are other options to explore.

My scope is easily removed and I could run a red dot on the barrel mount or just run the skinner peeps.... Options.

I like the Simmons 4X32 for several of my rimfire rifles. Inexpensive and great quality. That said, I have a Burris FastFire 2MOA on my 10/22 Takedown. It works great but I don't really care for a red dot. I wish Something like Leupold's 1X Prismatic site will make its way back onto the market.
