So I replaced the trigger housing on my new Ruger 10 22 with an aluminum one because I hate plastic. And after installing everything I noticed that the hole behind the trigger where the spring goes is drilled at an angle. It doesn't effect function but it really bothers me. Are there any after market triggers that don't use that spring behind the trigger? Preferably just a trigger because all the other parts have been replaced already with volquartsen stuff.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can fabricate a different trigger return spring, more like a hairpin design, that completely replaces this plunger and coil. See Rimfire Central for details.

Me, I simply cut a little off the trigger return spring. Polishing the plunger tip to a polished sphere helps make it smoother too. Don't worry about the angle hole, that simplified Ruger's machining process.

The angle hole is normal. Do the torsion return spring mod from RimFireCentral.com and then drill and tap that angled hole and use it for an overtravel screw. One of the best things you can do for a 10/22 trigger IMHO.
