I'm on the market looking for a 22LR to learn proper shooting. I've heard good things about both the Remington 597 and the Ruger 10/22 Carbine, and I'm on a budget.
So which one do you think is the better value? I can get a Ruger for about 230, and a Remington for 160. It seems to me the Remington is a better deal 'cos I can buy a lot of 22LR with the money saved
So what say you?
I have little to no experience shooting, this is a new hobby for me.
I understand they're both excellent rifles, I'm just wondering if there's anything that makes the flaming chicken rifle worth the extra $95.
