Ruger 10/22

I'm looking to build a custom 10/22 and was wondering if a bull barrel would fit in a normal receiver or if all receivers are the same. I've never owned a 10/22 before but I don't want to buy one only to scrap half of it again.

i guess the only thing i'll leave is the reciever eventually. lol

Looking at the avatars, I see that many people with extractor issues live all about this great country of others (I'm in Toronto, personally). Seeing as how RimfireSports does the free shipping, does a group buy make any sense at all? If it still does, and I am simply missing the point here, let me know and I'll do a group buy for all those in Ontario.

Don't hold your breath on a new extractor fixing all your problems. My new PC extractor in my new 10/22 still has the odd ejecting problem. Luckily the parts were very cheap.

My bigger concern is the poor feeding with the hot lips mags.........and the jury seems to be out on the steel lips being much better. My factory mag came with the wrong tension, and I am struggling to get it back to the proper tension. Just trial and error at this point.

I got my VQ extractor a while back. Fixed my probs. I'm running 4 hot lip mags, no problems, 2 of them are going on 8 years.

With me however, my 1996 made 10/22 DID have wear on the extractor. :D

I would be interested in 1 depending on how soon you plan on doing that :D

I have some Tac-Sol mags in mail coming to me.

The dude on the phone claimed that sometimes the mags get through the border fast, but sometimes Canadian customs likes to sit on them for two weeks.

Its been 5 days so far...

KFB

I take it they've arrived by now? ;)

Edit: 1-week turnaround for mine!
