Ruger 10/22 ?

I bought marlin 795-which some say is more accurate out of the box than a ruger 10/22 and just ordered a Boyds laminate thumbhole stock for $54....I guess it come down to how much you want to trick it out-or leave as a basic plinking rifle

Can anyone comment on the new 10/22s being painted vs. clear coated aluminum? I don't want the cheesy painted silver some people have been getting, would rather save my $$ and buy the blued version instead

I've never seen a painted stainless 10/22 barrel.

Just go out and buy one then worry about all the bad things people will try to whine about later and have fun.

The only thing I like about the 10/22 is all the aftermarket stuff.
