I want one, too.

NAA.

You have to wonder what is going on sometimes, all the hype and promotion but no one can buy one. I checked 2 popular US websites and they don't have them either. I wonder if this is a marketing ploy? Get everybody so pumped that they will pay whatever when they finally are available?

Not a chance! Ruger handgun is not somewhat high end, it is because they cannot keep up the demand of lower price 1911 customer.

Who cares. Better to wait a production year or two anyways. Its just like buying a new model of car. Wait till they work the bugs out of the production first.

Not necessarily...but I do prefer guns that don't go off if dropped, unlike the early SR9s AND LCPs.

If you spend enough time at the range, you will be around guns that get dropped, yours or someone else's. I would rather not take a bullet because Ruger forgot a critical part feature, personally.

I assume you are talking about the new Ruger SR1911. If so, I have one on the way to me as we speak from P&D Enterprises. I don't know how many they got in and if they were all spoken for. I put a deposit on one about a month ago so the wait wasn't too long for me. I should have it middle of next week. You could call them & see if they have any left. None are showing up on their website but it might be worth a call. Price was also quite reasonable (around $725 + tax & shipping as I recall).
