Ruger 22/45 Lite

Does anyone have experience with this? I looked at it at Bullseye today, liked the feel of it. The only one available they say is green, but I have seen them in blue. Can they be ordered in a specific colour?
 
I have an earlier black model. I like it but it was unreliable until I removed the loaded chamber indicator. Mine is very accurate with quality target ammo. I think the green is a more recent production.
 
I got the 22/45 from Irunguns for a steal of a price. Good customer service. Great gun. Cycles cci really really well and is extremely accurate. Have a dlask compensator on it and fits well. I have a bushnell red dot mounted with the provided rail and can hit a fist sized group at 15 yards quick shots all day.

Look into the takedown of this gun first though. It's a bit annoying. You gotta do a sequence of trigger pulling and mag popping.

I used to own the older 22/45 lite, don`t get me wrong it was a nice gun and they look great but I wasn`t a fan of the platic lower. I sold it and bought an all steel target model.
 
You get a vote from me. It has the same handle thickness and rake of 1911 somewhat. I was going to get a sig or gsg 1911 22 and did enough reading to stay away from either. I have one complaint about the 22/45 and that's the disassembly and reassembly of the firearm. You have an option of optic mounting and a muzzle device with the ruger. I would say the Buckmark if not the 22 45. Both accurate 22s. I am not bashing gsg i j ust read enough to not be interested. Heard poor reviews about the sig 1991 as well.


I am wwith Sk8. I just didn't want to pay 800+ for a 22 handgun. I got the 22/45 lite to my door for under 500 from irunguns

Wife has one in blue and likes its general feel and weight. Ours has been reliable with just about any ammo we've run through it. No problems with the round chambered indicator. The sights are decent and the easily adjustable rear sight has come in handy on two windy occasions.

Personally, I don't like the feel of the trigger. The grips fit my hands nicely but the reach and placement on my trigger finger just does not feel right. The trigger pull also feels mushy to me.

I much prefer my SW22 Victory over the 22/45.
 
I have a green one. Awesome 22lr pistol. You can upgrade with the Victory trigger & Volquartsen parts and bring the pull down to 3.x lb and remove as much pre-travel etc as you like. I heard you can upgrade with 1911 grips but I haven't tried yet. My next upgrade will be the complete Volquartsen bolt. Also make sure you buy the upgrade to remove the mag disconnect if you are getting MarkIII models.
 
My wife is set on the Victory, I think it's a great choice, haven't heard anything bad about it although it is relatively new.
I'm amazed at the amount of knowledge from so many people here
