I picked up my 22/45 today. This one has been on my list since it came out. The finish is great. Will be hitting the range with it tomorrow.

On a side note, I've owned several 22/45 models over the years, this is my second MKIII. This is one of the tightest handguns I've ever owned. And this is both good and bad. If I didn't know what I was doing, and have done it before, I would have thought something was wrong this this gun. Very difficult to break down, especially removing the frame from receiver. You will need a rubber mallet. My best advice is to follow the instructions to a "T".

Very nice..... and I like the lighting on your pictures, what kind of ammo are you taking with you. I have a Buckmark but I really like the looks of that Ruger.

Winchester Dynapoints, with a couple CCI Stingers for good measure. I'll be at an indoor range, so I'll be sure to grab some stills from video! :D

My 22/45 works OK with the Dynapoints, but loves Federal 525 bulk ammo. Very nice looking pistol, Nine.

Does anybody know if the sights on the above pistol will fit on my 5.5" heavy barrel 22/45? Even just the front FO sight would be fine, but this one looks taller than on mine. It does appear to use the same single screw mounting system that I have.

Looks like it: http://shopruger.com/Mark-II-Mark-III-Pistol-Fiber-Optic-Sights/productinfo/84147/

Nice Nine!
Is that barrel stock? (tac. solutions??)

No, that's stock out of the box. 4.5" barrel.

Hit the range with it today and put about 400 rounds through it with one FTE and 3 or 4 ammo related FTF. LOVE this gun. Sighted in and had some half decent groups. It was -1C and blowing in my face so nothing fantastic, but I am VERY happy. I really like the fiber optic sight, although it could stand to be a tad smaller. (tube diameter)

All in all, great lil gun! Shoots great, looks great.

My MKIII 22/45 was so tight the deadhead rubber mallet wouldn't budge it. I needed one of those hard plastic mallets to disassemble it.

Warning, this thread will cost you money... I ordered one today, not quite as fancy but just as cool. It's the 22/45 MKIII bull barrel all blued one, should be a blast.

Now should I just leave the irons, or pick up a cool sight/scope deal for it? It's not my first pistol, just filling the gaps in my gun collection! (no .22 pistols)
