ruger 270 to 35 whelen?

Re boreing may not leave enough wall thickness.
Rebarreling would be straight forward, same action length and bolt face.
Or just buy a .338-06 ?

Ya, I know, just wondering aobut whether it would work or not. Have the gun, dont really need it, just trying to figure out what fun could be had with it. Along that thread, aren't you the guy looking at building a take down BLR, when you can buy that exact gun?!! You and I must think alike. I'm just moving to Lumby and just bought a TD BLR...let me know if you want to take a look at it. The barrel is held in by some big lugs, that the rotary bolt locks into. So the locking bar only holds the gun together when the bolt is out of the "battery", then when the bolt comes forward, it locks the 2 pieces of the gun together again...Quite cool actually. Mines .358
