Ruger 338 RCM Case Availability???

Thanks for the info totally appreciate it...

Guess I'll put this thought on hold and keep on dreaming in the meantime as soon as I get my reloading room set up again I plan on loading 200gr Accubonds or 200gr Hot Cor's both have over .550 BC's in my 20" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 30-06 if I like the loads I'll probably stop dreaming of a mid velocity 375 cal cartridge/rifle and just live with the old tried and true 30-06.

Please keep on dreaming man - I wasn't trying to be a downer. I just wanted to let u know my findings/thoughts. The 375/338RCM would be a short action 375Whelen - not bad. BTW a .550 BC sounds very out there. Those 30cal 200s impress me about as much as any 30cal can for hunting.

I really like the 376 Styer it would give almost exactly the performance I am looking for if I use RL17 powder only thing holding me back on it is that I have never been able to find any brass or loaded ammo here in Canada for it.

Gate I bow my head and admit that I had my buddy contact Prophet River today about one of the black/gray laminate left hand bolt Alaskans unfortunately they are now sold out of them. My selling feature was I could load down the 250gr TTSX @ 2650fps for him = the perfect all round 375 hunting/defense rifle/cartridge combo for a beginner shooter/hunter...

Getting back to the 375 the more I read up on the 338 Federal 358 Win etc my 375JDJ is already outdistancing both of these rounds at far lower pressures = I really don't need another rifle... :)

Doesnt Ruger list a left handed 338 rcm om its website? I keep swaying back and forth from wanting a short 30/06, 338rcm or a 375ruger as my go to/overnite bivy all around hunting and defense gun.

sigh....stupid internet makes all these decisions harder, esp thanks to gates and camp cook and boomer with there nifty guns, i swear if it wasnt for the intraweb i would have a .270 and be happier than a pig in s**t......

My buddy is now asking if there are any more of the left handed black/gray laminate 375 Ruger Alaskans in Canada those of you in the know I would appreciate a heads up.

He would also go with a Sako Kodiak in 375H&H if they are available in left handed models.
