Cylinder work why? To eject better?

The cylinder throats in Rugers have a habit of being to tight. My GP-100 had three cylinder throats that would not let a .356 bullet push through them and three others that would not let a .357 bullet pass through them. Five minutes with a cylinder throat .358 reamer and all was good. I had the same experience with my flat top convertible in 45acp/45Colt. The tight cylinders are a result of Ruger not changing their gang reamers out more often. As they wear the cylinder throats get smaller and smaller.

I shoot almost all lead bullets sized .358 to seal the .357 bore. No sense in doing so if the throats are swagging the bullets down to .356 or .357 for example. Hard on accuracy.

The only S&W i will buy is a Model 69, on the other hand, there is at least 4 more Ruger revolvers on my list... JP.

In .357, I have both a S&W 627pc, and a Ruger GP100 in 4.25". I also have a Vaquero single action. For me it's like preferring one of your children over another, you can't go wrong with either in my view, love them all.
